HFH Camp Wakonda is located just an hour outside of New York City in Harriman State Park. Our campers, ages 7-11, spend one to two weeks in a safe and fun environment during one of our three summer camp sessions.

Camp Wakonda features a jungle gym the kids have delightfully named “the park,” and an indoor dining hall where they have home-cooked meals.

Since 1989, HFH Summer Camps have helped over 15,000 campers experience the great outdoors with activities like swimming and boating in a mountain lake, sleeping in cabins, and telling stories around a campfire. Additional activities such as dance, theater, nature, and sports are aimed at keeping children stimulated, learning, and active during their stay.

Our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association. Counselors are trained in safety procedures and peaceful conflict resolution. Swimming is supervised by CPR and First-Aid trained lifeguards. HFH Summer Camps provide transportation to and from the camp from convenient pick-up/drop-off locations throughout New York City.
